I love working with Grit and Gold because I can always count on seeing beautiful details from their events. Caroline and Michael's wedding was no different. I love the bride's lace gown and florals from Oh Deery. Using china as a statement piece to the table is always pretty, but I also love it when the china is just that subtle detail that the observant guest notices.
Bohemian Jewels
I'm about to show a little bias here, but this shoot is basically my favorite. That couple, those flowers, that green couch.. I could go on. I love everything about it. So it was total icing when Katie messaged me a few weeks ago to say that Green Wedding Shoes wanted to publish the shoot. Did I mentioned I looooove GWS? Heart eyes all over this. Check out the rest of the photos here.
The Big Fake Wedding
Last month PLP once again took part in The Big Fake Wedding. If you're never heard of it, it's basically a bridal show, done as an actual wedding. You play a guest, and witness an actual married couple renew their vows. Their attendants are their real friends and family, but everyone involved is a wedding vendor of some kind. It's super fun and personally, WAY more interesting than walking around the Will Rogers Exhibit Hall carrying a cheap reusable tote with your eyes glazed over. At The Big Fake Wedding the only reason your eyes should be glazed over is because you danced your pants off and had one too many glasses of champs.
This year's BFW was hosted by Marie Gabrielle, which is my absolute favorite hidden gem of Dallas. It's like a secret garden right in the middle of the city and it's amazing. The food was fabulous, the music was on point and we had a ton of fun. Today the event was featured on Ruffled, so be sure to head over and see the photos.
Oh look.. it's Mr. PLP and my BFB. I make Mr. PLP wear a bow tie to anything that could even remotely turn into a dance party. If I see him ride the pony or put a tie around his head one more time, so help me y'all. The bow tie is safer.
